We're excited to introduce our newest fresh-crop arrival from the highlands of Dara District in Ethiopia's celebrated Sidama region, right along the border of famed Yirgacheffe.

This coffee comes from a community of 305 smallholder farmers tending roughly 406 hectares of coffee at elevations between 1,800 and 2,000 masl. Cool temperatures and fertile soils give these traditional Ethiopian heirloom varieties the perfect conditions to develop vibrant sweetness and complexity.

Quality starts at the collection sites, where only fully ripe cherries are accepted. The cherries are carefully sorted and laid out right away on raised drying beds, where they slowly sun-dry for 15 to 22 days under close watch. Once dried, the coffee is hulled and hand-sorted to remove defects, preserving the character that makes Sidama coffees so highly regarded.
